Nakasendō Hiking

Post hiking weirdness and fun

I have encountered a lot of fun, weird and perplexing stuff that didn’t have anything to do with the Nakasendō on my hike across Japan. I thought I’d give it a whirl and share some of these things that I’ve seen now that the hike has finished.

I’ve wondered a bit about how all these cables in the air aren’t torn down all the time by mistake when new stuff is built. The answer is simply that these people are good at their jobs! 🙂

Ah, hotel room design. It must be a combination of really fun to try and find smart solutions with very limited contraints, and at the same time utterly frustrating.
On the other hand, the architect probably never had to actually stay in this room and neither did they have to try and flush the toilet.
